Privacy Policy

What information Gizmo Guides collects, why, and how to have it removed.

Last updated October 11, 2026

This policy explains what information Gizmo Guides collects when you use this website, why, and what you can do about it. Last updated: 11 October 2026.

Information you give us

  • Newsletter. If you sign up, we store your email address and the date you signed up. We use it only to send our newsletter. We do not sell or share it.
  • Contact form. If you send us a message, your name, email address and message are emailed to us so we can reply. They are not stored on the website.

Information collected automatically

  • Affiliate link clicks. When you use a “Check price” button we count the click for that product. The count is a number per product; we do not record who clicked.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP addresses and browser type) to keep the site secure and working.
  • Cookies. This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies for visitors. If you log in to the site, WordPress sets the cookies it needs to keep you logged in.

Merchant websites

When you follow a link to a merchant such as Amazon or Temu, you leave our site. The merchant may set its own cookies, including affiliate cookies that tell it you came from Gizmo Guides. Their privacy policies apply on their sites.

How long we keep information

Newsletter addresses are kept until you ask us to remove them. Contact messages are kept in our inbox only as long as we need them to answer you.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, for example by moving the newsletter to an email service, we will update this page and the date at the top.
